The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 has started from January 5 in Las Vegas. Computer and laptop maker Asus has unveiled screens at multiple laptops at the event. This list includes a powerful Chromebook called the Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5601). Coming with a 16-inch display, the Chromebook will run on Windows 11 operating system and will be powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor. So it goes without saying that its performance is quite high compared to other Chromebooks. It also has a full HD webcam with privacy shutter. Price and availability of Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 Chromebook
Although the screen has been removed from the top of the new Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 laptop at the CES stage, the company has not yet announced any information regarding its price and availability. The new Chromebook is expected to hit the market next month.
Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 Chromebook Specification
The Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 laptop has a 16-inch full HD display with touchscreen support, an aspect ratio of 18:10 and a screen-to-body ratio of 8%. It has a 360 degree ergo lift hinge so it can be used as a tablet. The new Chromebook is powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor, with 16GB of DDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of NVME SSD storage.
On the right side of the Asus Chromebook is a 1.4mm key travel and a spill resistant backlit keyboard with a numeric keypad. There is also a 5.84 inch long touchpad.
On the other hand, there are four Herman Cardon Certified speakers in the Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 to offer pleasant sound. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type A port, a 3.5 headphone jack and a microSD card slot.
The Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 comes with MIL-STD 610H tested chassis and WiFi 7i connectivity. Finally, there are privacy shutters to cover the camera sensor when not in use. It has a full HD webcam.
