On Monday, BMW Concept XM launched a new high-performance concept car. The electric concept SUV will only be offered as a plug-in hybrid electric car under the auto giant’s M Performance brand and will go into production by the end of next year.
The BMW XM Automaker combines stylistic inspiration from the SUV portfolio and M car tradition. The lines are more abrasive. The concept has cat-like LED lights on the rear end, and an M-Exhaust with hexagonal quad tips is positioned vertically on either side of a wide diffuser, not horizontally. The obvious giant kidney grilles on the front have their own LED design. Concept XM equipped with 23-inch wheels.
The BMW Concept XM has a V-8 engine with an electric motor that produces 760PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. It has an all-electric range of up to 80 kilometers. The BMW Concept XM is the most powerful BMW M in history, as well as the first BMW M that was not inspired by the existing BMW model.

“The BMW Concept XM represents a complete overhaul of the high-performance car segment. It underscores BMW’s ability to break the established rules and offer fans pushing the boundaries,” said Franciscas Van Mill, CEO of BMW.
With the stylistic influences of past BMW concept cars, the interior of the BMW Concept XM radiates elegance. Upholstery includes vintage-looking leather, copper and carbon fiber, as well as leather blended with Cooper thread and velvet. The BMW curved display, which combines the infotainment screen with the latest version of iDrive and digital driver display, is the focal point of the dashboard. A three-dimensional prism structure uses indirect and direct illumination to create a relief-like pattern in the headliner.

With production expected to begin in late 2022, BMW should release more information about the Concept XM next year.
