It has been raining electric scooters in India for the past few months. There are no signs of stopping. There are established companies, as well as various anonymous companies have taken initiative to increase the scope of business by bringing electric vehicles as a clean means of transportation. Bounce, a startup in Bangalore, has already made a name for itself by providing scooter rental services. This time they are directly involved in the business of making electric vehicles. Bounce’s first electric scooter will make its debut later this month.
Bounce Electric Scooter Delivery Timeline
The official name of the bounce e-scooter has not been revealed yet. It is expected to reach customers from January 2022.
Bounce Electric Scooter has been spotted on the streets of Mumbai.
Bounce’s unnamed e-scooter has been spotted on the streets of Mumbai. An auto blog has published some pictures of road testing. It will have the incredible resemblance of 22 Kymco iFlow with the look of Bounce’s e-scooter. Incidentally, Bounce acquired 22Motors a month ago at a cost of Rs 52 crore. Therefore, 22 Kymco iFlow can be assumed to be marketed with bounce branding by tweaking the exterior and interior.
Highlights of the e-scooter in the picture are round full-LED headlamps, curvy bodywork, LCD console, hub mounted motor, and disc brakes (front and rear).
Instead of iFlow’s 2.1 kilowatt battery, Bounce’s e-scooter may be given a bigger battery pack. This will allow Bounce to compete with companies like Ola and Ather. Although its battery pack and battery management system are made entirely in India, the battery cells will be imported from Panasonic and LG Chem.
Bounce Electric Scooter Swappable Battery
The most impressive feature of the bounce e-scooter is the swappable battery pack. The battery in the scooter will not be fixed. You can open it and charge in your own house. There will be facility to purchase with or without battery. If you do not want to buy a battery, it can be rented from the company. You have to pay a small amount of money per month. This will greatly reduce the cost of buying a car, as the battery costs about 30-40% of the total price of an electric car.
Bounce plans to build a battery swapping station so that the benefits of battery swapping technology can reach the users properly. Batteries can be rented at the swapping points on a monthly or annual subscription plan basis.
Bounce Electric Scooter Expected Price
Bounce electric scooters may be priced around Rs 50,000.
