Multinational tech company Lenovo recently launched their latest gaming smartphone Legion Y90 and gaming tablet Lenovo Legion Y700 in the Chinese market. Although the full specification of these two devices was teased online before the launch i.e. last week. Due to this we got to know in advance about the features of smartphones and tablets. As a feature in this case, the Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone will have Snapdragon 8 Zen1 chipset and up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM. The Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet comes with a Snapdragon 60 chipset and up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. By analogy, both devices use vapor-chamber cooling (VC Cooling) technology to remove excess heat. Let’s take a look at the price, availability and specifications of the new Lenovo Legion Y90 smartphone and Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet.
Lenovo Legion Y90 Smartphone, Lenovo Legion Y700 Tablet Price & Availability
The Lenovo Legion Y90 smartphone has been launched in China in three storage variants. Of which, the 12 RAM + 256 GB storage option is priced at 3,999 Yuan (about Rs. 48,600). In addition, the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variants are priced at 4,299 yuan (about Rs 51,400) and 4,999 yuan (about Rs 59,600) respectively. The phone is available in single gray color option.
The Lenovo Legion Y600 gaming tablet has a starting price of 2,199 yuan (about Rs. 27,300). The price of this device is 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option. In addition, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at 2,499 yuan (about Rs 29,900). Lenovo’s gaming tablet comes in blue and beige.
It is yet to be announced when these two new devices will be available in the global market including India.
Lenovo Legion Y90 Gaming Smartphone Specification
The Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone has a 6.9-inch (1,060×2,460 pixels) Samsung E4 AMOLED display. Its brightness is 1,300 nits peak, refresh rate is 144 Hz and pixel density is 36 PPI. It uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor for fast performance and multitasking. The phone will be powered by Android-based ZUI 13 custom OS. As storage, it will have up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 memory. However, the 16GB RAM variant has a RAID 0 storage strip, which supports 128GB SSD storage.
The Lenovo Legion Y90 has a dual rear camera setup. These are the 64-megapixel primary sensor and the 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The device currently has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies.
One of the special features of this new gaming mobile is that it comes with VC or vapor-chamber cooling technology, which is capable of removing heat across an area of 3,520 square millimeters. In addition, the handset supports dual X-Axis linear motors and Dolby Atoms audio technology. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11x, Bluetooth V5.2, OTG and two USB Type-C ports. For power backup, Lenovo has a dual cell 5,600 mAh battery that supports 8 watts of fast charging. The Lenovo Legion Y90 measures 18×7.4×10.14mm and weighs 252 grams.
Lenovo Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet Specification
The Lenovo Legion Y600 gaming tablet features a 6.6-inch (2,560×1,600 pixels) LCD display. The display supports 120 Hz refresh rate, 500 net peak brightness, HDR10, Dolby Vision and DC dimming technology. The tab comes with Snapdragon 60 processor to offer better performance. It is powered by an Android-based ZUI 13 custom OS. As storage, it has up to 12 GB RAM and up to 256 GB UFS 3.1 ROM. However, its storage capacity can be increased up to 1 terabyte via a microSD card.
Speaking of the camera front, the Lenovo Legion Y700 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. This gaming tablet comes with VC cooling technology, which is capable of removing heat across an area of 6,500 square millimeters.
Among other features, the device has dual microphones and a JBL speaker system supported by Dolby Atoms technology. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, microSD card slot, Bluetooth V5.1, OTG, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. For power backup, the tablet comes with a 6,550 mAh capacity battery, which supports 45 watts fast charging. The Lenovo Legion Y700 Tablet measures 206.1×126.1×7.9mm and weighs 365 grams.
