Microsoft is about to make the biggest deal in history. The Windows maker has announced that it will buy video game maker Activision Blizzard for ৭ 7.8 billion (approximately ৫ 5.14 trillion). This is Microsoft’s biggest deal in 47 years. Microsoft will pay 95 per share for the deal. It is believed that Microsoft has taken this step to strengthen itself in the world of Metaverse.
Allegations of sexual harassment against the company
The American gaming giant is known for creating games like Activation Blizzard, Candy Crush as well as Call of Duty. However, multiple women have filed sexual harassment charges against the company. According to Microsoft, Bobby Kotik, CEO of Activation, will continue to work in that role.
Microsoft expects big profits
As a result of the agreement with Activation Blizzard, Microsoft will receive about 400 million monthly gaming users. They will also occupy the world’s second-largest gaming platform. As a result, Microsoft’s gaming business will grow. This will include mobile, PC, console and cloud-based games.
