Last month, Oppo announced the beta and stable update of Android 12 based ColorOS 12 on some of their phones. The company has just announced that the beta program for the Oppo K9 Pro 5G phone has started. The Oppo community has confirmed in a post that recruitment for the phone has been completed. This means that the beta update of ColorOS 12 will come on the phone.
It is expected that this update will come to Oppo K9 Pro 5G phone in the next three days. Of course, this will be an OTA update. Although it is not yet known when the phone will get the stable update of ColorOS 12.
However, according to the company’s record of stable updates, the Oppo K9 Pro phone may get a stable update next month, i.e. in March. Note that this is a Chinese exclusive phone, so there will be no regional build. However, the phone is available in the global market under another name.
While it is not known when the stable update will come to the Oppo K9 Pro phone, its base model i.e. Oppo K9 5G will get the stable update of ColorOS 12 on 22nd February. On the same day, the same update will be rolled out for Oppo Reno 5K 5G and Oppo A93 5G phones. These phones received a beta update last December.
