There were rumors in mid-February that Oppo was about to remove the screen from a new 5G smartphone in March. The Oppo Reno 7Z 5G is set to be launched in the Thai market today, March 2nd. The new phone is the successor to the Reno 6Z, which debuted last year. The new smartphone comes with a 60 Hz refresh rate FHD + display panel and a Snapdragon 695 processor. And like the predecessor, it will have a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel main sensor, although the resolution of the other two sensors will be different. However, as a security feature, support for under-display fingerprint sensor and fast charging technology will also be available in this new device from Oppo. The Oppo Renault 6Z 5G smartphone has a 6.43-inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display. The display supports 60 Hz refresh rate, 160 Hz touch sampling rate, 409 ppi pixel density, 600 net peak brightness, 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and its design is punch-hole style. The device uses Snapdragon 695 processor for fast performance and multitasking. And, as an operating system, it will have Android 11 based ColorOS 12 custom user interface. In addition, for storage, 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.2 ROM are available.
