Realme continues to present one new device after another to fans this year. Realme 9 Pro series launched in the market last month. The Realme 9 series is also set to hit the market in a few days. And now, according to a new report, the Chinese company is planning to launch another new mid-range smartphone, which will have an alert slider like the OnePlus phone.
Realme’s new phone will have OnePlus’s alert slider
According to a new report from MySmartPrice, tipstar Yogesh Brar has revealed that they are working on a new device, including the Realm Alert Slider. He added that the device could be launched in April this year. The Alert Slider is a physical slider that allows users to switch between ringer and vibrate modes like the iPhone. In the Android space, this feature has been popularized by OnePlus and is found on almost all of the company’s smartphones.
Incidentally, the arrival of this feature on Realm’s phones is not a surprise, as both Realm and OnePlus brands are under the BBK Electronics group in China, and we know that companies under BBK Electronics often share their technology. OnePlus and Oppo, for example, share the same codebase and Hasselblad camera tuning on their latest flagship devices.
Also, let’s see now what other features the Realm smartphone with Alert Slider will have and how much it will be priced. Significantly, OnePlus did not provide an alert slider on their OnePlus Nord CE series devices, such as the recently launched OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G. Prices for the phone start at Rs 23,999 in the Indian market. So, if Realm launches their upcoming smartphone with the same specifications as the OnePlus Nord CE 2 and at a price close to that, the company may be able to attract some of the OnePlus customers as well.

On the other hand, compared to the price, Realme is currently available in the Realme 9 Pro + market at Rs 24,999. The device has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with full HD + resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. The handset is powered by MediaTek Dimension 920 and has a maximum of 8GB of LEDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
Also, the camera island on the back panel of the Realme 9 Pro + features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 8 primary camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultraviolet sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, this phone has a 16 megapixel front camera. Also comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with Realme 9 Pro + 80 watt fast charging support for power backup.
