In August last year, Realme became the fastest growing smartphone brand in the world with the shortest shipment of 100 million smartphones in the shortest time. Following this record-breaking achievement, Realme’s annual smartphone sales hit a record 70 million units, up 50 percent from the previous year. Meanwhile, Realme, which is on the list of top 5 brands in 21 different markets, has become the fastest-growing 5G Android brand in the third quarter of last year.
Sky Lee said, “With 60 percent of the company’s R&D resources focused on high-end technology, we will strive to innovate more in technology and design to enter the premium segment.”
2021 was a successful year for Realm. Because, last year, Realme became the best-selling brand worldwide. Realme has set various records and topped the list of best-selling products in campaigns like Black Friday, 11.11, and Diwali, hosted by various e-commerce platforms.
The Realm GT Neo 2, the flagship phone of the year, was recognized as the ‘Top 1 Best Selling 5G Smartphone’ at 11.11 Cell in Daraj, the world’s largest cell campaign. In India, with over 40 percent of sales on the Flipkart platform, Realm also ranks as the top smartphone brand on the platform. In addition, Realme Top 1 is recognized as the best-selling smartphone brand on local platforms like Daraz in Bangladesh, Thailand and Indonesia.
Realm is working to build a comprehensive portfolio of 5G products with the goal of providing 100 million 5G phones to young users within the next 3 years. The smartphone brand has entered the AIOT 2.0 development phase with its advanced ‘1 + 5 + T’ strategy. As a result, in addition to affordable 5G phones, Realm will bring many more AIOT products to market for the younger generation of consumers.
