The wait of almost 6 years is finally over. India’s long-awaited ‘practically the first’ electric bike, the Tork Kratos, entered the country’s market on Republic Day today. Although the Tork T6X first appeared in 2016, it was later renamed Kratos. A long time has passed since then. While waiting, the customers were disappointed and gave up hope of delivery of the electric bike. However, the customers who had booked the motorcycle, finally smiled at Tork today.
The electric motorcycle comes in two variants – Standard and R. The standard variant will be available in white only, while the premium model is available in white, blue, red and black. It has already started booking, the booking is being done from the official website of the company for 999 rupees. Tork Kratos Specification & Features
Tork Kratos is muscular and sporty in terms of design. Externally, it bears a striking resemblance to the 2008 Honda CB1000R. Notable features include a triangular headlamp cowl with LED lights, sharp looking with angular tank extension, split seat, slick look at the rear, LED taillights and a slim rear fender.
The electric bike has a telescopic fork on the front and a mono-shock suspension on the rear. It has disc brakes on both wheels. It also has a 4.3-inch fully digital TFT unit, which can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth connectivity. This TFT unit will provide information on navigation, geofencing, battery charge status, ride statistics and crash alerts.

The standard model of the Kratos features a 4 kWh battery pack that will power its 8.5 kW electric motor. On the other hand, the Kratos R model has a 9 kW motor. As the batteries of the two models are the same, their range is also equal, which is claimed by the torque of 160 km. However, its real-world range is 120 km. On the other hand, with a fast charger, it will take only one hour to charge the battery from 0-60 percent, which is really surprising!

The standard and premium variants of Tork Kratos are priced at Rs 1,02,499 and Rs 1,16,499 respectively. Let me tell you here, these are the prices after the addition of subsidy by the central and state in Delhi.
