2022 Toyota Hilux engine, specification
The same IMV ladder-frame architecture as the Toyota Hilux Fortuner and Innova is based on architecture and shares most of its mechanical components with the SUV. The India-Spec Helix is powered by the same 2.8-liter turbo-diesel that combines 204PS and 500 Nm and 420 Nm with a six-speed automatic and a six-speed manual. The motor gets only Echo and Power mode as opposed to Fortuner but has been tuned differently to suit this application. The Helix gets the same 4×4 system with low-range gear and comes with other off-roading gears such as heel-descent control, a rear slip differential with a limited electronic rear differential locking and A-Trac brake-based torque-vectoring system. There is also a tire-position indicator and a variable ratio steering system
