We all know about the global popularity of WhatsApp owned by Meta. To enhance the user experience of using this platform, the company often brings a number of functional and fun features to the platform, and these features are the main reason for the skyrocketing popularity of WhatsApp. And in the new year, the world’s most popular instant messaging platform continues to bring one new feature after another, according to the traditional tradition. This time the company is going to bring a new feature centered on the WhatsApp group.
According to a recent report, the messaging app is about to roll out a new feature that will allow group admins to delete a specific message from their WhatsApp group for everyone. In other words, group admins are being given the power to decide which messages will be in a group and which will be deleted. No matter how many admins there are in a WhatsApp group, they all have the ability to do this. As admins of any WhatsApp group already have some extra powers. Once this feature is rolled out, they will have extra power in their hands.
WhatsApp feature tracker Wabetainfo, according to Twitter, says that for Android users, group admins will have the ability to delete a message for everyone in the group in a future update of WhatsApp Beta. According to the screenshot they shared when a group admin deletes a message, a note labeled “This was deleted by an admin” appears. This will allow other members of the group to know which admin has deleted the message.

In fact, many times a person belonging to the group sends a message (obscene or offensive) to the group which may not be in line with the ideology of everyone in the group. This leads to monogamy among the group members. But once this feature is rolled out, group admins will be able to delete this type of message before anyone else can see it, so no one else will be able to see that message. Undoubtedly, this feature will be especially effective in maintaining a smooth and easy chatting environment in the group.
