WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messaging platform, has recently been reportedly working on a number of features for its desktop version. It is learned that users will soon be able to listen to voice notes or audio messages outside the chat on WhatsApp Desktop. According to reports, this feature called ‘Global Voice Note Player’ has already been made available to some desktop users. Earlier, the feature was tested in the WhatsApp iOS beta app.
Note that WhatsApp’s feature tracker Wabetainfo was the first to reveal this feature. In this case, WhatsApp users will now be able to play voice notes on the desktop as well as switch to another chat. In other words, even if you switch to another chat, WhatsApp voice note will continue to play, it will not stop. The new audio player bar will appear at the bottom of the chat list. Users will be able to control the voice note using the playback button, and this progress indicator bar will help users to understand when the voice note is finished playing.
In this context, the feature is being made available to all beta testers from today; So to get access to this feature, users need to install the latest version of WhatsApp Desktop Beater. The feature came to the WhatsApp desktop just weeks after it was first seen in the iOS beta update.
Until then, users had to stick to a single chat for as long as it took to hear a voice note in its entirety. Switching from one chat to another would stop playing voice notes; As a result, it was annoying for users to open a chat while listening to a voice note for a long time. In that case, this new feature will be very useful for users, because it allows users to do other things on WhatsApp while listening to a voice chat for a long time, they do not have to be tied to a single chat. Now users can also send a message or a picture to someone else while listening to a voice note sent from a chat.
WhatsApp Voice Note: Pause, Play
WhatsApp had earlier introduced the feature to pause and play voice notes while recording in the desktop version. As a result, users can now pause in the middle of recording their voice notes and then start recording again.
