Yamaha Neo’s electric scooter was unveiled in the international market. This is a significant indication that the company will be launching more battery-powered two-wheelers with less power in the future. Undoubtedly, this is one of the first electric scooters in the company’s lineup. If all goes well, Yamaha will soon begin production, and the scooter will be delivered to dealerships in a few selected countries.
In terms of performance, the Neos e-scooter is the equivalent of a 50 cc petrol-powered scooter. Note that the scooter is going to be based on the E02 concept model displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2019. Yamaha also sells 50 cc fuel-powered scooters called Neo in the international market. The output of a hub motorized scooter can be up to 2 kW, which is suitable for commuting within the city.
The Yamaha Neo’s model may have a swappable battery like the Bounce Infiniti E1. But the company did not provide any information about its range. The scooter is expected to launch in the next few months. Although it has a slim chance of making its debut in the Indian market. It could be the first model of the company to be sold in the market among multiple e-scooters.

Incidentally, Yamaha has already teamed up with two-wheeler giants KTM, Piaggio and Honda to build battery swapping infrastructure. Meanwhile, the company removed the screen from the top of the E01 concept model with E02. Which is an electric scooter of equal capacity with a 125 cc engine. It is expected that the final model will be released in the last half of 2024
