There was a time when, starting from Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan stepped on the other side of the screen as well as on Yezdi’s motorcycle. Seeing that, the heartbeat of the fans would increase several times. It was a dream brand for many people. With this huge popularity, Yezdi’s business in India also prospered However, due to various complications, Yezdi’s motorcycle came back in a new form almost 26 years after the construction was stopped in 1998. Yezdi today launched three models of motorbikes – Adventure, Scrambler and Roadster – in the Indian market.
Mahindra’s subsidiary Classic Legends started its journey a few years ago. In fact, in the last few days, the one-time-responsive company has made no mistake in trying to reshape itself. In the meantime, since November last year, Yezdi has started to walk independently, leaving the hands of the parent company Jawa. Yezdi Scrambler and Roadster: Design
The Yezdi Scrambler and Roadster features a neo-retro design that is reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s. Like the previous model, the new model has a round headlamp, circular rearview mirror, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, engine radiator shroud and front gator. Although the two motorcycles are completely different in terms of design and character.
Yezdi Scrambler & Roadster: Colors & Features
The Yezdi Roadster is available in five color options – Smoke Gray, Steel Blue, Hunter Green, Gallant Gray and Sean Silver. The first three of these come with a dark theme and the next two models have a chrome theme.
On the other hand, the Yezdi Scrambler model comes in six color options – Fire Orange, Yellowing Yellow, Outlay Olive, Rebel Red, Min Green and Midnight Blue.
Both motorcycles have round LED headlamps and taillamps, digital LED instrument consoles, where a variety of information can be seen. The Scrambler model has been given some extra features again. Such as clear lens LED indicator, USB and Type-C charging port. However, these two models do not have Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Which is in Adventure.
Yezdi Scrambler & Roadster: Engine
Both the Scrambler and Roadstar models have the same engine. Single cylinder liquid cooled 334 cc engine. Although the models especially their output is different. For example, the Roadstar engine produces 29.7 PS of power at 8,300 rpm and 29 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm.
The Scrambler engine, on the other hand, produces 29.1 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 26.2 Nm of torque at 6,650 rpm. Both bikes have 8-speed gearbox. They have telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.
Yezdi Scrambler & Roadster: Price
Prices for Yezdi Scrambler and Roadster range from Rs 1.98 lakh to Rs 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The roadster motorbike has been brought as an opponent of Enfield Meteor 350. The Scrambler model, on the other hand, will compete with Royal Enfield’s upcoming Scram 411.
